Marquinhos made the most of a beautiful ball from Di Maria

After being dominated in the first leg quarter-final against Bayern Munich, PSG looked to have learnt their lesson in the opening stages in the semi-final against Man City.

Despite Pep Guardiola's team being chock-full of midfielders, the 'pupils' of Mauricio Pochettino started strong in the clash in the Parc des Princes and soon had something to show for this performance on the scoresheet.

Di Maria whipped in the perfect corner. Marquinhos - who was also key in the round against Bayern - made the most of this absolute treat and struck the first blow in the match.

The Brazilian CB arrived at the front post like a steamtrain. PSG's number 5 shook off Gundogan and rose higher than anyone and connected with a fantastic header to make it 1-0 in Paris.
