Marcao and Sevilla reach agreement for five seasons

Sevilla and Galatasaray are negotiating the transfer of Brazilian defender Marcos do Nascimiento Teixeira 'Marcao'. He has now reached an agreement with the Andalusian side to sign a five year contract, sources close to the deal told 'EFE'. 

The two clubs are hoping to reach an agreement in the coming days for a deal close to 10 million euros. Marcao will be Julen Lopetegui's first new signing of the summer and he will replace Diego Carlos who has joined Aston Villa. 

Marcao is a left footed centre-back who has just turned 26- He came through the academy at Brazil's Athletico Paraenaense and then he made the move to Europe in 2017. He was at Rio Ave and Chaves in Portugal before leaving Chaves to sign for Galatasaray in 2019 in a move which cost four million euros. 

Since his arrival in Turkey, the Brazilian footballer has made 141 competitive appearances and won the league, cup and Turkish Super Cup each on one occasion.
