Kane is currently the Premier League's second-highest goalscorer and brought up his half-century of goals for both club and country this calendar year with his brace against Stoke at the weekend.
Spurs have recorded back-to.back wins against the 'Potters' and Brighton to return to the top four after a run of four league games without a victory and Mangala believes that Saturday's late kick-off will be a tough game and not just because of Kane's presence.
'He's a very good striker but Tottenham is not just about Harry Kane,' The French defender told City's official website. 'They have some qualities. We have to be focused on all of the team and prepare for the game to win.
'Tottenham are a very good team with young players. We will have to prepare as well as possible.'
Despite breaking an English top-flight record on Wednesday with the 4-0 win over Swansea City, Mangala insists that nothing has changed as far as the players are concerned, with the aim still being to carry on their form at the weekend.
'That's history,' Mangala added. 'We're the only team to do that and it's a big achievement. There's a long way to go but we have to be proud. It's not easy to do that. We're very happy.
'We have the same objective: to win the game. At the moment, we are going well. We need to carry on in the same way and keep working... now, we rest as we have another game on Saturday where we will try to do the same.'
