Tite put out his four big guns against Senegal in Neymar, Coutinho, Gabriel Jesus and Firmino which made his intentions very clear.
Aliou Cisse also played all his stars, but his initial XI seemed much more conservative. They focussed on keeping Brazil at bay and the African runners-up took their time in threatening Ederson.
In the ninth minute, Gabriel Jesus played in Roberto Firmino and he made it 1-0 with an exquisite chip. Goalie Gomis came out to narrow the angle and the Liverpool man chipped it over him.
Brazil's early lead actually sparked Cisse's men into life and they went hard on the counter. Brazil ended up up taking their foot off the gas and were on the back foot at times.
As the game went on, Tite's men got complacent and on the stroke of half.time, Sadio Mane nutmegged Marquinhos before he was fouled by a combination of the PSG player and Dani Alves inside the area. The ref pointed to the spot and Famara Diedhiou levelled things up.
After the break, the 'Canarinha' put Senegal under pressure once again. However, Aliou Cisse's men were fearless and tried to go 1-2 up against the five time world champions.
The whole host of changes meant the tempo dropped until the back end. Sadio Mane struck the post in the 84th minute and Richarlison was close to winning it for Brazil on the counter. Despite numerous chances late on, Brazil and Senegal drew in Singapore and the South American outfit are now winless in their last three.
