Bayern Munich are more than worried about Sadio Mane. The Senegalese striker has still to recover from his knee injury which left him out of the World Cup with less than a month left before the Champions League returns.
It is just three weeks until the Germans take on PSG in the Champions League last 16 first leg (14th February). That was when Bayern were thinking they would have the attacker back for, but this seems practically impossible.
Mane has an injury to his right knee which occurred against Wolfsburg on 8th November. He had just been on the pitch after 20 minutes he had to be replaced by Sane after injuring himself. The Senegalese is recovering well from his injury, but not as quickly as Bayern expected.
That said, it was the club who said he should go to theatre. That increased the amount of time he would be out for. Furthermore, bringing him back from a long injury lay-off for such an important game would not be the best idea.
Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann had warned that the footballer would only play if he had a perfect recovery: "If everything goes perfectly, he could play against PSG, but everything would have to go very, very well. But I will not make exact predictions because I can't really say."
