Mandzukic leaves Al-Duhail

Sarri didn't use him and in January, after being included in just three matchday squads, he decided to accept an offer that could only be understood as a golden retreat for the Croatian striker. But this spell at Al-Duhail has hardly lasted 6 months.

Mandzukic himself announced it with a message he posted on his social media. "I reached an agreement with Al-Duhail management to terminate my contract by mutual consent", the Croat wrote.

"I appreciate the trust and hospitality that I have received in Qatar and I wish the best to the club and the team in the future", the ex-Juventus, Bayern, and Atlético player, amongst others, added.
