Manchester United and Chelsea interested in Edinson Cavani

Cavani has been a mainstay at PSG since his move from Italian side Napoli in 2013, scoring 192 goals in 275 appearances in all competitions for PSG.

However, it now appears that Cavani is willing to leave PSG and is keen for a new experience, with the Premier League or La Liga his preferred destinations. 

Chelsea are rumoured to have contacted Cavani in January over a potential move, but the London club ended up signing fellow former Napoli forward, Gonzalo Higuain. 

With the transfer ban currently in place for Chelsea (they are unable to sign anybody until Summer 2020 at the moment) and an appeal currently pending review, Chelsea may have missed their chance with Cavani.

Manchester United are supposedly going to have a revoltionary window with many players not impressing manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since he became permanent manager of the club.

Solskjaer wants to get United back to the top of English and European football again and to do this he will need to sign players with title winning calibre. Cavani has won 5 league titles out of a posible 6 since his arrival, he is a born winner. 

Cavani would of course add some much needed experience to United's front line, with Romelu Lukaku seemingly on his way out of the Manchester club.

According to Calciomercato, Cavani is only interested in a move to the Premier League, having already proven successful in France, Italy and his homeland, Uruguay.

The forward didn't exactly give the impression he would be staying in Paris when asked about it either, saying "A lot of things happened this season. It's different every year, the most important thing is to be able to keep our team together. My future? I have a contract here. One more year. What do you want? I'm good, serene, happy with the life and the supporters. But in football, you never know. "
