It appears that Victor Lindelof's time at Manchester United will not come to an end this 2023/2024 season. The Swedish centre-back's contract was set to expire in June 2024, but he had a clause that the club could activate to extend it for another year.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Mancunian club are happy with the services of the Sweden international and have extended the 29-year-old defender's contract until June 2025.
The former Benfica player would therefore be on course to complete a nine-season spell at Old Trafford, which he joined in the summer of 2017 after ending his time with the Portuguese side.
Lindelof has been a key player for Erik ten Hag's defence this season so far, having played 1331 minutes in 18 official appearances, 14 of them as a starter.
