Man Utd targeting Villa star Watkins

Manchester United have been looking for a striker since Cristiano Ronaldo left Old Trafford in November and, although they signed Wout Weghorst on loan, they are still working to strengthen their attack.

The Red Devils are keeping an eye on Rasmus Hojlund's situation in order to sign the Atalanta striker in the next transfer window. However, they are considering all possible alternatives.

According to 'The Athletic', Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins could be a prime candidate to play at Old Trafford next campaign. The Englishman has scored 16 goals and provided six assists in 40 competitive matches for Emery's side this season.

The same media outlet reports that Manchester United have scouted the 27-year-old and could make contact with his inner circle in the coming weeks.
