Joao Neves is attracting a lot of interest despite his young age. The 19-year-old midfielder has been a surprise package in the Portuguese league this season, having started eight of Benfica's 11 games this campaign.
Roger Schmidt's confidence in the promising youngster is paying off, so much so that big clubs have already joined the race to sign what could be one of the best midfielders of the next few years.
A few days ago it was reported that two of the Premier League's biggest clubs were interested in trying to land the Portuguese youngster this summer: Manchester United and Manchester City.
However, Benfica's response to the interest in snatching one of their key players is blunt, with the Portuguese club demanding around 118 million for his transfer, according to 'Sky Sports'. The Red Devils and Sky Blues have already made even bigger outlays, so it would be no surprise if either of them swooped for his transfer this summer despite his high asking price.
