Manchester Unted star Alejandro Garnacho will not take part in the upcoming international break with Argentina due to knee discomforts. The forward was called up by manager Lionel Scaloni for the World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Bolivia this month, however, he will now be removed from the squad list due to the injury, as informed by 'TyC Sports'.
“I had knee problems in the last two matches, and I won't be able to be with the national team," revealed Garnacho via an Instagram story on Monday. “I hope to recover soon so I can be on the next date”.
The annoucement from the player was followed by an annoucement from the Argentina national team on their socials. "The footballer Garnacho is ruled out of the squad due to an injury to his left knee," reads the post on X.
The extent of Garnacho's injury is yet to be understood. The 20-year-old will be assessed by the Manchester United medical staff in the next days, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
