Man Utd are thinking of making an offer of 20 million pounds for Maitland-Niles, according to the 'Daily Star'. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking for a left back, something which seemed evident when they tried to get Reguilon. He ended up going to Tottenham.
The problem is that Mikel Arteta wants to take him. Initially, it was leaked that he was not wanted, but it was false. The Spanish manager thinks he is an important member of the team. This could mean the Gunners ask for more money for the player. They might even take him off the market.
There could also be another problem: the last time a club showed interest in him - Wolves -, Arsenal made clear that they would only think about it if 25 million pounds were offered. Man Utd will, therefore, have to up their bid.
At the moment, Mailtand-Niles is important for Arsenal. He played the whole game versus Liverpool both in the Premier League and in the Community Shield clash. Will Man Utd be able to get their man?
