Man United add Boniface to forward wishlist

Manchester United have identified Victor Boniface as a potential target as they seek to strengthen their attack in the upcoming transfer windows. The Nigerian forward, currently sidelined through injury, remains under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2028 but has caught the attention of the Premier League giants.

The Red Devils are prioritising a striker for January but have not yet made Boniface their primary target. The board are exploring several options to bolster their firepower and will only move for Boniface if they cannot secure a deal for other candidates on their shortlist.

Boniface, who has been a revelation in the Bundesliga since joining Leverkusen, fits the profile of a dynamic forward United are seeking. The club, however, acknowledge that Leverkusen are unlikely to entertain offers mid-season, given the player's long-term contract and current injury status.

Should their January plans fail, the English outfit are expected to open negotiations with his inner circle ahead of a potential summer move. The Red Devils believe the 23-year-old could become a key figure in their long-term project, and talks with his representatives would lay the groundwork for a future transfer.
