Madrid squad-list for Chelsea clash

Real Madrid have announced their official squad for the big game. Real Madrid will host Chelsea on Wednesday for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.

Carlo Ancelotti will face the Blues without Ferland Mendy, the only professional absentee for the Italian. The full-back continues his recovery process and his return date is not yet marked on the shedule.

Perhaps the most interesting thing is the presence of Mariano Diaz among the 23 selected. The striker continues to win the personal battle against Alvaro Rodriguez, who his coach is not counting on at this stage of the season.

This is Real Madrid's full squad list:

Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois, Andriy Lunin and Luis Lopez.

Defenders: Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, David Alaba, Jesus Vallejo, Nacho Fernandez, Alvaro Odriozola, Lucas Vazquez and Antonio Rudiger.

Midfielders: Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Eduardo Camavinga, Fede Valverde, Aurelien Tchouameni and Dani Ceballos.

Forwards: Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Vinicius, Rodrygo Goes and Mariano Diaz.
