"Madrid can achieve the seemingly impossible" - Florentino Perez on La Liga triumph

Real Madrid continued their La Liga title celebrations, after the squad were presented with the trophy at the Valdebebas training complex where 'Los Merengues' captain Nacho Fernandez gave importance to a title that has added value to the numerous setbacks the club has suffered this season. 

The squad went to the Comunidad de Madrid building as a second stop in their celebrations where president Florentino Perez gave a short speech that followed in the same vein as that of the Spanish centre-back. 

"First of all, I would like to thank Díaz Ayuso for receiving us with the hospitality that we always feel. It is a La Liga that is very special for all of us because it has been won with the values of our crest. The club has been in existence for 122 years. Everything it has achieved has been through hard work, humility, respect and fair play. That is why it is the most loved and admired club in the world," he started.

"It is difficult to overcome adversity, with so many serious and long-term injuries that have jeopardised the achievement of great challenges. Courtois, Militao or Alaba have been examples. This is Real Madrid, a crest that can achieve what seems impossible. I want to thank all these players who are part of the club's history. Who have won everything, but who are still hungry. Also to Ancelotti, an important part of this triumph", Florentino stressed.

"History forces us to keep on winning. This week we have had another magical night that takes us to the final of the Champions League in London. Let nobody doubt that this team is going to give its all so that we can return home with our 15th European Cup," he concluded.
