"Madrid and City are very strong but so are Milan"

Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer told a press conference on Wednesday that during Ramadan he got physical results he had never had before.

"The coach and the technical staff when we do Ramadan help us a lot and manage it well. Now that it's over, I'll be even better, because when you can drink and eat you have more energy, although during the fast I got physical results I've never had before," he said.

Milan face Roma in the quarter-finals of the Europa League on Thursday: "We have prepared well mentally and physically. And I can assure you that, on the pitch, everyone is dying for each other".

"I've been here for almost five years, so I have to bring something more now, all that experience I've gained," he added.

Furthermore, the midfielder compared Milan's squad to those of Real Madrid and Manchester City. "For me, almost our whole team could have played the game at the Bernabeu. Real Madrid and City are very strong, but so are we," he concluded.
