Lyon seem to have a clear need for reinforcements in the defensive line. Victor Lindelöf is a favourite for the French side, although they are not ruling out negotiating for his team-mate Eric Bailly.

Despite Lyon's respectable performance in the Champions League, the club know that the weakest area of the team is in defence, which they want to strengthen once the current season ends.

They seem to have eyes on Manchester United, more specifically, Victor Lindelof although he is contracted with United until 2021.

If that deal does not come to fruition, the second option that the club is also considering would be to sign Eric Bailly.
