If there is an ex-footballer who knows how to play as a centre-forward, it's Luca Toni. The Italian, one of the greatest goalscorers of the start of the 21st Century, spoke about how Romelu Lukaku has grown whilst in Italy.
"Cristiano is still a world-class player, but Lukaku is a vital part of the Inter side, even when he's not scoring", Toni, one of the greatest goalscorers in the history of 'il calcio', hailed on his social media.
The ex-Fiorentina, Juve and Bayern player, amongst others, went even further: "He is a more complete striker than Cristiano Ronaldo, even more so taking into account that he's a lot younger".
Having scored 34 goals in his first season with the 'nerazzurri' with the addition of six assists, he currently has 27 goals in his second campaign with a total of nine assists. With this, Romelu Lukaku is on course for his best ever season.
His development in the understanding of the game is in large part down to Conte's instructions. He is no longer a striker who plays with his head down and often misses the target. Now, if he's not scoring, he is greatly helping his Inter teammates.
