Loic Bade returns to Sevilla after leaving France training camp with muscle injury

Centre-back Loic Bade returns to Seville without playing minutes for France at the start of the Nations League due to problems with his right thigh. Tests confirmed a muscle injury in the biceps femoris.

Bade was called up after Didier Deschamps' initial call-up to replace Wesley Fofana. He missed Friday's 3-1 win over Italy at the Parc des Princes and will not be available for Monday's match against Belgium in Lyon.

A runner-up at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Andalusian side's defender felt some muscular discomfort in training on Thursday. Medical tests the following day revealed a muscle injury in the right biceps femoris.

The problems of one of his first-choice centre-backs is the latest setback for Garcia Pimienta. The Sevilla coach is preparing for next Saturday's La Liga fixture against Getafe at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan. He is aiming for his first win of the season.
