Tottenham are in a very strong vein of form, only having lost once in their last twenty games, and although Lloris is happy with the club's situation, he believes they could throw it all away if they fail to pick up a result on Wednesday when they host Juventus in the Champions League. "I think we have arrived at the point where we have maturity and we know exactly the expectation from the manager and how he wants us to play football," he said, speaking to the press ahead of the tie. "Now it's just to enjoy because we are in the period of the season where we can win and lose everything we have worked for."
They go into the game, which is arguably the biggest of their season so far, drawing 2-2 on aggregate with the Italian champions. Their two away goals mean they have an advantage when they host the Italian side at Wembley, and if they manage a 0-0 or a 1-1 they will go straight through to the quarter finals, but Lloris says Tottenham will approach the game just as they would do normally. "It's true we have a small advantage because we scored two goals away from home," Lloris admitted. "But if you don't have the right energy, the right mentality and the right attitude things can turn very quickly."
"If you start to think too much and play for a draw, especially against an experienced team like Juve, you could be in trouble. The best way is to start sharp and like we usually do at home."
He concluded by praising his side, calling on his teammates to show people what they are made of. "We are in good shape, mentally and physically strong and we have a good opportunity tomorrow against one of the biggest clubs in Europe," he said. "It's a great moment to show the real face of Tottenham, the state today of the team and the club."
