Liverpool want to renew Joe Gomez

Joe Gomez has been linked with a new club in England for months. Newcastle and Aston Villa have shown interest in the 24 year-old central defender. 

But it seems like after these rumours, finally, the English international will stay at Anfield for another season. That is what the 'Liverpool Echo' reports. They are talking about negotiations between both parties. 

Apparently, even though his contract runs until June 2024, Liverpool are negotiating with Joe Gomez over the possibility of extending his contract beyond that date. 

This new contract would see the Liverpool player's salary increased. Gomez has made 141 appearances in his seven seasons at the club.
