Liverpool: Klopp has confirmed that Simon Mignolet will replace Alisson in the Liverpool goal for his first appearance of the season.
Defender Virgil van Dijk will be carefully assessed ahead of Wednesday's clash, but the Netherlands international is not expected to be risked as he recovers from a minor rib injury - he could be replaced by Dejan Lovren.
Dominic Solanke is in line to feature against his former club but the game may come too early for Adam Lallana (groin). Divock Origi is out.
Chelsea: Pedro is set to miss the tie after failing to recover form a shoulder injury.
Antonio Rudiger (groin) and Ruben Loftus-Cheek (foot) are also out of the trip to Anfield
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp:
“The only position I will confirm today that we will change if nothing happens in training is Simon", Klopp said at his pre-match press conference.
“It will be a very good side that we will line up tomorrow.
“I don’t think I will get any information until tomorrow about the line-up of Chelsea. So, why should I give any? We are really competitive, and we really want to win the game.
“We will see. I have to make decisions, I will make decisions and it will be a really strong side. I will not even name the number of changes, but it will not be the maximum and it will not be the minimum – it’s between them. We will see", he added.
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri:
"It is an important game. We are Chelsea and we want to play all our games and try to win all our games", Sarri said in his press confernece.
"We'll take it seriously. It's not Premier League, we know. But because of who we are, what we are, we want to play and play the games as best as we can. So we will tomorrow.
"It's an opportunity to see players who haven't have many games so far, so that is an opportunity. But still it will be a good team."
When asked about Pedro, Rudiger and Ruben Loftus-Cheek's injury concerns he added:
"Ruben has had an injection and is still recovering. It's very unlikely he'll be able to be part of the game tomorrow. So is also Rudiger [out of the game]. Pedro is recovering very well, but it's tough for them to be part of the game tomorrow."
