Liverpool to renew Keita's contract to prevent him joining PSG

Liverpool have clear priorities. One of them is the renewal of the player Naby Keita, whose contract expires in June 2023. The link between club and player is entering its last season. 

PSG have been keeping a close eye on him since the start of this transfer window. However, no offer has yet been made, as the Parisian side have decided to postpone their bid for the Guinean after the signing of Renato Sanches in midfield.

The aim of Tom Werner's club is to extend the long-term contract renewal as soon as possible, as they are aware of the interest of the French League champions. They fear that, in the next winter window and taking advantage of the fact that his contract expires in a few months, they will take him to the Parc des Princes.  

Jurgen Klopp has been clear for some time now that the renewal of Naby Keita is of the utmost importance and that he is a key player for the team. At the beginning of January, for example, he said: "Tell me a team that wouldn't miss Mane, Salah and Keita". In these statements, the German put the Guinea international on the same level as two players who are considered to be among the best strikers in the world, with Mane now far from Anfield.
