The 23-year-old was left out of the squad for Liverpool's pre-season friendlies in Germany as he searches for a new club.
Jurgen Klopp admitted earlier this week that the player was not in his plans but that "somewhere there is a club that needs him".
The Serbian has largely disappointed at Anfield and has spent the last two seasons out on loan with Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon and Hull respectively. His spell in Portugal ended in him being recalled due to a lack of gametime before he was relegated with Hull at the end of last season, despite some decent performances.
The only sticking point to any deal could be Liverpool's demands, with the club hoping to recoup £16m of the £20m they paid Benfica for Markovic's services in 2014.
