Liverpool's season has not been their best up to now and they are already thinking ahead to next season. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly got his eyes on one of the great talents in the South American Under 20 Championship.
His name is Kevin Mantilla. According to 'Football Insider', Liverpool have knocked on the door of the young 19 year-old Colombian defender, who plays for Santa Fe. At the moment, only initial contact has been established.
The Reds' idea is to have the central defender as a back up so that he can can slowly gain experience. A player which Klopp has approved of ahead of the summer transfer window.
Kevin Mantilla currently plays for Santa Fe in Colombia. He has made 25 appearances and he was one of the main reasons why Colombia won bronze at the aforementioned South American Under 20 Championship.
