Liverpool have joined Paris Saint-Germain in their bid to sign Kouadio Kone. The 'Gladbach midfielder could return to Ligue 1 next season, where he previously played for Toulouse.

Following 'L'Equipe's report earlier in the week that Paris Saint-Germain are following in the footsteps of Kouadio Kone, the French side have now found a strong contender for the player's transfer.

According to journalist Nicolo Schira, Liverpool have joined the race for the 'Gladbach player. The French midfielder joined the German side last season from Toulouse, so he has Ligue 1 experience.

The Reds' painful defeat to Real Madrid at Anfield (2-5) in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie led to the issue of midfield reinforcements being put at the top of the agenda for next summer.

For the moment, he has four years left on his contract, having signed with the German side until June 2025. The Colombes native was one of the targets for the Parisians, along with Kolo Muani and Marcus Thuram.
