Burnley got their first points of the season with a win against Jurgen Klopp's side.
The Clarets got off to the perfect start when Wales international Sam Vokes scored with a fantastic strike on three minutes. The striker picked up the ball on the edge of the box, turned and blasted his shot past Mignolet in the Liverpool goal.
Things got even better for Burnley when Andre Gray made it 2-0 on 38 minutes. The last top scorer in the Championship last season was assisted by record-signing Defour, before placing his shot past Mignolet.
Liverpool tried their best to get back into the game in the second half, but Dyche's side - as per usual - were excellently organised and managed to hold on for the win.
Burnley fans will be hoping for more of the same, whereas for Jurgen Klopp, it's back to the drawing board.
