LIVERPOOL:
Goalkeeper: Loris Karius - 6
Had little to do for the bulk of the game but got luck to see Kolarov's effort come back off the bar after it slipped through his fingers.
Defender: Trent Alexander-Arnold - 6.5
An engergetic display from the youngster down the right as he galloped forward at every opportunity.
Defender: Virgil van Dijk - 7
A commanding presence at the heart of the Liverpool defence.
Defender: Dejan Lovren - 6.5
Looked solid for large spells and rattled the crossbar but mis-judged the ball for Dzeko's late goal.
Defender: Andy Robertson - 7
Reliable as ever down the left, provided a couple of dangerous low balls into the box and kept Florenzi pinned back.
Midfielder: Jordan Henderson - 7
A disciplined performance at the heart of the engine room. Some tidy distribution and kept Roma's midfielders quiet.
Midfielder: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - N/A
Stretchered off with just 15 minutes gone after coming off worse in a challenge with Kolarov.
Midfielder: James Milner - 7
Unfortunate to concede a late penalty but otherwise impressive. Covered every blade of grass.
Forward: Mohamed Salah - 9.5
The standout performer. Two goals and two assists against his former club, the Egyptian didn't give Roma a minute's peace as he continued his imperious form.
Forward: Roberto Firmino - 9
Another impressive performance as he laid on both of Slah's strike before bagging two himself, quickly establishing himself as one of Europe's best strikers.
Forward: Sadio Mane - 7.5
A couple of errant attempted finishes early on but he buzzed around with menace and made life difficult for Roma.
Subs:
Giorginio Wijnaldum (for Oxlade-Chamberlain, 18) – 7
Danny Ings (for Salah, 75) - 6
Ragnar Klavan (for Firmino, 90) - N/A
ROMA:
Goalkeeper: Alisson - 6
Nothing he could have done about any of the goals, slightly lucky to get away with dropping a corner onto the head of Mane.
Defender: Federico Fazio - 5
Struggled against Liverpool's pace and power. Served a reminder of why he flopped at Tottenham.
Defender: Kostas Manolas - 6
Did his best to put his body on the line for his team but had not answer to Liverpool's front three.
Defender: Juan Jesus - 4.5
Four of Liverpool's five goals came from the gap between Jesus and Kolarov. The centre-back was beaten too easily and too often by Salah and co.
Wing-back: Alessandro Florenzi - 6
Defended well enough but was unable to have much of an impact at the other end.
Midfielder: Daniele De Rossi - 5.5
Faded after a decent first half hour ad Liverpool's midfield ran rings around Roma.
Midfielder: Kevin Strootman - 5
An early shot was his only real contribution on the game as he struggled to get involved.
Midfielder: Radja Nainggolan - 6
His pass created Roma's first for Dzeko, whilst it was his effort that Milner handled to win Roma the penalty. A couple of neat touches but overshadowed by his Liverpool counterparts.
Wing-back: Aleksandar Kolarov - 5
Rattled the bar in the first half but went missing on too many occasions down the left, allowing Liverpool to take full advantage.
Forward: Edin Dezko - 6
Held the ball up well and took his goal well as you would expect but was starved of the ball for long periods.
Forward: Cengiz Under - 4.5
Handed a start in place of Partik Schick but failed to have any real impact on the game before being hooked at half-time.
Subs:
Patrik Shick (for Under, 45) 6
Diego Perotti (for Jesus, 67) 6
Maxime Gonalons (for De Rossi, 67) 5.5
