Lingard put in a fantastic performance in a first half that saw both Harry Kane and John Stones grab a brace, and the 25-year-old capped it off with a goal in the 36th minute. And it wasn't just any old goal either...
The Manchester United attacker drove forward towards the centre of the pitch from his position on the left flank, before exchanging a neat one-two with Raheem Sterling on the edge of the area.
This left him with the ball around 20 yards out, and he made good use of the yards of space he had bought himself, curling in a stunning finish round his man and into the far-right corner, leaving Jaime Penedo with no chance of saving the strike.
