Julian Nagelsmann, Bayern Munich's manager, considers that the Polish striker Robert Lewandowski deserves the Ballon D'Or and "they have to give it to him because in the last three years he has been the most consistent player in the world."
"He (Lewandowski) deserves the Ballon D'Or and they have to give it to him because he had the best consistency in the last three years".
Nagelsman, also believes that Lewandowski, despite being 33 years old, still has lots of football to play. "He is extremely dynamic, he doesn't get injured, he trains intensely. I think he still has many years ahead in his career because he organizes his whole life for it", explained Nagelsmann.
Lewandowski's contract lasts until 2023 and talks for an extension have not happened yet.
Bayern Munich traditionally doesn't extend for more than one year the contract of players above 30, not even to legends such as Robben and Ribery.
Last season, Lewandowski scored 41 Bundesliga goals breaking Gerd Muller's record set fifty years ago.
