Bayern Munich started the second leg against Salzburg in fine fashion. The German giants went into the game on level terms with their visitors after a shaky first leg performance. But in the 12th minute they got their noses in front.
Of course it was Lewandowski to be the man to ease any nerves in the Bavarians' minds. The Pole had been going through a "dry patch" before this game as he had not scored in the two previous. The a striker more than broke his duck at the start of this match.
Lewandowski was brought down in the area and the referee had no doubt in pointing to the spot. The number 9 stepped up and slotted the penalty to the keeper's left.
Wober's night went from bad to worse just nine minutes later after Salzburg conceded another penalty. Lewandowski cooly stepped up again to place the penalty in the same spot he did previously, to make it 2-0.
The Pole is used to scoring hat-tricks and he did just that. In the 23rd minute, the striker added to his brace after taking advantage of a defensive mix-up to make the scoreline 3-0. The man cannot stop breaking goalscoring records!
