Leicester's intention in the winter market is to find some sort of defender to help out Brendan Rodgers' team. A situation that could cause collateral damage, with the main victim beinf Filip Benkovic.
The Croatian has not had too much game time so far this season (just 67) and is open to the possibility of going to another club so that he can continue to progress. According to 'Telegraph', the most interested team in signing him is Derby County, who have already made an offer for him.
The operation could see the Foxes agree to loan him to the Rams until the end of the season. An agreement that would make both parties happy, because the King Power Stadium team do not want to lose the young player forever.
Benkovic arrived at Leicester in the summer or 2018 as one of the most promising defenders, but 14.5 million euros that the English club paid for him seems to have been too much. In fact, he came directly from Celtic, where he played very well. He returned and has not been given chance to shine.
