Lazio negotiates loan deal for Reguilon with option to buy

Sergio Reguilon has once again not got a place in the Tottenham team up to the point that, this season, he has still not appeared on the pitch. The former Sevilla and Real Madrid player is on Lazio's agenda and, according to 'Corriere dello Sport', the Italian club is now negotiating to get hold of him on loan with the option to buy. 

The fee for him to stay permanently in Serie A is 20 million euros. This is not a problem because both parties are not against the move. What is stalling talks is how to distribute his salary, which is three million pounds per season. The Italians are reluctant to pay a large part of his salary. 

With less than two weeks of the transfer window ahead, the ideal thing for Spurs would be to find a new club for the full-back who has been having less game time and now he is completely out of Antonio Conte's line-ups. A lot will have to change for him to be able to stay at the club. 

Italy would be the third top league he would play in, something which top players like to do. His experiences in the Premier League and La Liga should provide him with the ability to adapt, so, in principal, Lazio would be getting a footballer who would be likely to leave a positive impact in the medium term.
