The 27-year-old asked one month ago to leave his club and was linked with a move to Everton, but now he's changed his mind. He signed a new contract with Sunderland which will tie him until 2021 to the club.
The Ivory Coast international joined the club at the beginning of this year from Lorient.
The club manager Moyes is confident:
"Lamine is an important player for this club and I made that clear to him from the outset.
"He has only been playing in the Premier League since January, but in that time we have already seen what he is capable of".
