FIFA announced the winner of the 2021 Puskas Award which is given to the best goal of the year. Erik Lamela was given it for his amazing rabona goal for Tottenham away to Arsenal.

We now know the winner of the 2021 Puskas Prize. FIFA decided that Erik Lamela's amazing rabona goal against Arsenal deserved to be rewarded with the best goal of the year.

The footballer, who now plays for Sevilla, beat several other candidates to win the award. Taremi's overhead kick for Porto against Chelsea in the Champions League and Schick's goal from midfield for Czech Republic against Scotland in the Euros were the top 3.

Lamela scored the goal of the year back on 14th March 2021. Spurs were 0-0 at Arsenal in the North London derby when, after 30 minutes, the Argentinian pulled off a terrific rabona.

Lamela hit the ball first time, his low shot going through Thomas' legs and going into the far corner to give Tottenham the lead.
