La Liga top scorers 2020-21

The 2020-21 La Liga season now over and Messi was well clear at the top of the Pichichi. 

Messi finished on 30 goals. The Argentine sat out Barca's 0-1 victory at Eibar on Saturday. Antoine Griezmann got the only goal nine minutes from time. 

Villarreal's Gerard Moreno and Karim Benzema were joint second on 23 goals. The former failed to score in Villarreal's 2-1 loss at Real Madrid while Benzema scored to make it 1-1 in the 87th minute. 

Luis Suárez ended on 21 goals after his crucial winner for Atletico Madrid at Valladolid which gave them the La Liga title. 

En-Nesyri got 18 goals and did not play in Sevilla's 1-0 win over Alaves while Sociedad's Aleksander Isak declared on 16 after an 86th minute winner for Real Sociedad in a 0-1 win away to Osasuna.

Celta's Iago Aspas and Barca's Antoine Griezmann were next on 14 and 13 respectively. Aspas got a penalty in Celta Vigo's 2-3 loss to Real Betis while Griezmann scored the only goal as Barca defeated already relegated Eibar. 

Even though Barca missed out on the league title, at least Lionel Messi won the Golden Boot award.
