Kunin unhappy at being benched and Real Madrid will sell him in June

Andriy Lunin is in his third season at Real Madrid and he has been unable to take the number one spot off Thibaut Courtois. He has usually been given opportunities to play in the Copa del Rey so he was surprised when he did not start the Copa del Rey encounter against Villarreal. 

Ancelotti wanted to start with a better goalkeeper because his team had just been convincingly beaten 1-3 in the Super Cup by Barcelona and lost the La Liga game with Villarreal. As well as that, Ancelotti has not been 100% happy with the Ukrainian's performances. In seven games this season, he has played four times in La Liga, two in the Champions League and one in the Copa del Rey. 

'Relevo' indicates that, despite the fact the coach's decision could make sense, he was not at all happy with it. In addition, he does not agree that he is not playing at the level requited. In the analysis of his own performances that is usually done with his inner circle and his teammates, he has noted that they are all happy when he plays. Therefore, he is angry and confused.

Real Madrid, far from considering this a concern, will look for a new club for him in the summer. They have still decided whether his replacement will come from the transfer window or the academy, but the priority is to give Courtois a teammate to push him to be better. The club thought about loaning out Lunin this month, but it seems like in the end, they have decided to wait six months. That might get the player to change his mind.
