The Super Legaue is still being talked about despite a lot of people not behind its creation. Real Madrid footballer Toni Kroos gave his point of view to 'Einfach mal luppen'.
"I think we'll see the Super League. And I think that for several reasons. The idea of the Super League has changed and deserved to be considered. If both angles are considered, you'll see that UEFA is not a complete good samaritan towards football fans and that the Super League's idea, certainly not on the second attempt, isn't to exclude any side, because there wouldn't be permanent founding members", he explained.
Kroos continued criticising the maximum European organisation, "I think we have only heard UEFA's side of the argument and too much. Why's it ok for UEFA to introduce the Nations League which nobody needed? Suddenly no one asks them about that. That's why I think it's incredibly important to listen to other options like the Super League. I feel like we don't listen to it anymore. We hear of a new idea every other sentence and it's completely ruled out", he said.
Finally, he gave an interesting point of view of why said tournament should be created: "Even though we've already talked about losing passion for football, I think that the Super League gives the chance to change that. I hoipe to see more enthusiasm and excitement for the games we'll be able to watch. Because at the end of the day, let's not trick ourselves, a lot of people say: "Who doesn't want to see Madrid-City every week? Did you get tired of watching Federer against Nadal time after time? I didn't. That's my opinion", ehe ended by saying.
