Juventus are still taking all the necessary steps for Sami Khedira's exit to materialise. The German, almost routinely injured in recent times, is looking for a new destination and Juventus, who know his salary has not become afforadable, will not pose any threats to his desire to leave Turin.
In the early days of the transfer market, Khedira had been strongly linked to Turkish football and other and lower level teams outside of Europe, but it seems that the midfielder's willingness to continue playing at a high level will outweigh those options.
Tuttosport' and 'BeIN Sports' say the player is very close to signing for Arsenal, where he would meet Özil again and coincide with Unai Emery. Wolves had also asked about his situation without much luck.
Although he has a contract wit Juventus until 2021, he is not a part of Mauricio Sarri's plans and Juventus will not object to his exit, allowing him to leave for free if he agrees to give up to his part of the contract, and therefore his high salary.
In his four seasons in Turin, the former Real Madrid man played 127 matches, scoring 21 goals and distributing 14 assists. Much better numbers than those achieved in the capital of Spain, only tarnished with frequent injuries in the latest seasons.
