Kessie confirmed his farewell: "There is no better way to say goodbye"

Franck Kessie has confirmed that he will not be staying at Milan. It was an open secret, but it had not yet been made official until the midfielder spoke out.

"These are really strong feelings. They were five very important years where I married a project. I'm very happy for the city, for the club, for my teammates, for the coach, for me and for my whole family," Kessie told 'Canal+ Sport Africa'.

The player will be one of Barcelona's first signings for next season. Before leaving, he has managed to win Serie A with Milan.

"It was my last month of my contract here, but in these five years we have managed to return to the Champions League and win the Scudetto. I did what I was bought for and I think there is no better way to say goodbye.

The midfielder, barring any last-minute surprises, will reinforce the midfield at the Camp Nou, in what will be one of the signings to arrive for free at Barcelona.
