Tottenham have confirmed that Harry Kane has suffered ankle ligament damage and should return to training next month.
After clashing with Asmir Begovic and limping off in Tottenham's 4-1 win over Bournemouth on Sunday, Kane is expected to be out for up to six weeks.
The injury to the England international has led to concern over his fitness for the World Cup. Spurs conducted preliminary assessments on Wednesday and announced that they expected him back in training next month.

The 24-year-old was supposed to be sent for a scan on Monday but swelling continued to cause a delay. Kane, who has 39 goals for club and country this season, left the stadium in Bournemouth on crutches and wearing a protective boot after sustaining the injury in the process of scoring a disallowed goal in the first half.
The news represents a boost for England three months before the start of the World Cup in Russia after initial fears he could have been out for an extended period.
The prognosis means he is set to be fit for England's World Cup campaign, but he will miss Tottenham's FA Cup quarter-final at Swansea on Saturday, as well as two England friendly matches the following week.
