Good news for Liverpool and WBA as Matip and Nyom drop out of Africa Cup of Nations
The defenders are two of the seven Cameroon players who asked to be ommited from the squad for the tournament, despite head coach Hugo Broos declaring in December that the country's federation could ask FIFA to suspend players who refuse to play.
Both Matip and Nyom are cleared to suit up for their respective club with immediate effect, although the Liverpool player has ben struggling with an injury.
