Mascherano makes debut for new team

The Chinese side won the friendly match 2-1 and Mascherano appeared to be happy with his new team. Writing on Instagram he said 'Great win yesterday [Saturday] against Spartak Moscow. Keep going.'

Mascherano played his usual position in holding midfield, although he showed at Barca he can be equally as adept slotting into the defence. It looks as if he will have no trouble ajusting to a new team. 

He announced he will be retiring from international football at the conclusion of this year's World Cup in Russia.
