Jasper Cillessen reported for family neglect

Legal trouble for Jasper Cillessen in Spain. The former Barcelona and Valencia goalkeeper, now at NEC Nijmegen, has been charged with neglect of his family.

The goalkeeper is not paying child support to his ex-partner, with whom he has a daughter in common, and for this reason the mother has filed a complaint against the goalkeeper, according to media outlets such as 'ABC' and 'Sport'.

"She was abandoned by her father in hospital, because he did not want to pay the 1,200 euros that her hospitalisation cost. The mother's grandfather, who is almost 90 years old, who has never had a credit card and who had to use his savings to help his granddaughter, had to do it," explained lawyer Teresa Bueyes in '20 minutos'.

The woman's lawyer also accused the goalkeeper of inappropriate comments. "Not only that, but on the day he told her she was pregnant, he didn't hesitate to share on social media that he was already dating another woman".
