It is not the first time it has been mentioned, but people are still shocked by what happened. The Champions League last 16 first leg tie between Atalanta and Valencia was blamed as the main reason the coronavirus spread across Europe.
This time, one of those who played in the game, Daniel Wass, has criticised why the game went ahead.
"We were told that match caused everything," he told 'TV3'.
"It's terrible we played that match. Many of our players got ill after that match and many Spaniards brought the virus back to Spain," Wass, who started the match at the San Siro, continued.
The footballer admitted he felt lonely in Valencia as he could not get back to Denmark before the lockdown began.
"I wish I could be in Denmark now. My wife and two kids are in Denmark because we think that, despite everything, it's safer being in Denmark than here in Spain," he explained.
"There have been many deaths and the hospitals are super populated. There are many people in the streets. In the last six weeks, we have been allowed out of our homes. It's difficult, especially when I talk to my family in Denmark, who can go out," the Valencia player concluded.
