The Norwegian Second Division kicked off on Monday and IK Star could not have got off to a better start. They thrashed Asane 5-1 and, thanks to their goal tally, took provisional leadership of the table.
The star of the match was Jonatan Brunes, a 21-year-old player on loan from Lillestrom SK who is the cousin of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland and one of the world's top talents in football.
The IK Star striker scored a hat trick in his team's win. The first came in the 3rd minute, after a masterful finish to beat the goalkeeper. Just 20 minutes later he scored the next with a header after winning an aerial ball in the box.
In the second half, Brunes imitated the 'modus operandi' of the first goal to score his third, although this time the goal was with his left foot. He had only three shots on target, enough to seal the hat-trick and prove that he is a direct relative of Haaland.
What was most striking was what happened after the final whistle. Despite playing away from home, rival Asane fans asked Jonatan Brunes for photos and he happily agreed to immortalise the moment with his supporters.
