Ligue 1 ended the 2019-20 season at the end of April and many now believe that decision was made in haste.
After seeing how the rest of the major competitions are close to resuming, people in France are critical with the decision taken by ther authorities.
"This is unbelievable. The Spanish authorities have been working with UEFA for two months. What is strange is that Quillot (the French League's director general) has attended those meetings just like Tebas," Jean-Michel Aulas, the Lyon president, told 'L'Equipe'.
The Lyon president also believes that they have shown they were "d***heads": "In reality, what they said in the UEFA was that we had to be patient. When we see that our leaders attended and took different conclusions, we must say that we are absolute d***heads."
"A country like Spain, which has been worse affected, have thought and found answers. UEFA even ended up publishing a health protocol which we didn't even study in France. It's absolutely scandalous," Aulas continued.
His team, Lyon, congratulated La Liga and Javier Tebas on being close to getting the season back underway. At the same time, they slammed the French authorities.
