The Hammers have lost four Premier League games in a row and have picked up just one win this season.
Not only has West Ham's form been dismal, but Slaven Bilic's side have also conceded 11 goals in the last three games.
Club captain Mark Noble delivered a brutally honest assessment of his side's 3-0 loss at home to Southampton.
"I thought we started well and then we conceded and to be honest, we never really looked like getting back into it from there," he told 'Sky Sports'.
"It could have been six in the end and I think Adrian pulled off some good saves. On the bright side, I don't think it can get any worse.
"We could have kept playing until tonight and I don't think we would have scored. It just doesn't seem like it's going to go in the net for us at the minute.
"We had to rely on Dimitri Payet with a free kick in midweek against Accrington Stanley and apart from one cleared off the line, I can't remember too many good chances that we had.
"They created a lot and it's not good enough, simple as".
He also claimed that the team's defensive record was "laughable".
He added: "I think we've conceded 11 goals in three games, it's laughable really and not good enough. We know that in there".
