Internacional join Botafogo in fight for Obi Mikel

John Obi Mikel isn't stopped being linked with Brazilian football. Now without a team, the Nigerian is free to choose the team he wants to play for next season.

Trabzonspor confirmed in a statement the termination of the ex-Chelsea players' contract:  "The contract with a start date of 30 June 2019 and an end date of 31 May 2021, has been terminated by mutual agreement. With this mutual agreement, the footballer renounces all future claims".

That's why Obi Mikel has now got to work on choosing a new team and hasn't hesitated in confirming that he is negotiating with Botafogo.

But they wouldn't be the only Brazilian team interested in signing him. 'Mundo Deportivo' informs of his possible arrival at Internacional de Porto Alegre, a team that has reportedly already got in touch with the player.
