Bad news for Arsenal. Gabriel Martinelli had to be replaced in Sunday's Premier League match between the Gunners and Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium.
The Brazilian collided with Kaoru Mitoma in the eighth minute and was assessed by doctors so that he could continue playing.
However, the 21-year-old had to be replaced in the 20th minute as he injured his ankle. Leandro Trossard, who has been excelling with his performances in recent matches, took his place.
Arsenal's title race just got more complicated. Martinelli is a regular starter in Mikel Arteta's squad having scored 15 goals and provided six assists this season. As a result, this injury is yet another setback for the Spanish boss.
